another 5.3 in an 85 c10
i turned vats off with my hp tuners software. steve williams of tunedbyfrost.com is my tuner. i will delete codes and other minor things, but for tuning i think i will let him take care of it until i feel more comfortable with it! as for updates, i had to replace a bad wheel cylinder and some other tidbits. im hoping to take it out on its maiden voyage tomorrow. so, i should have a real update then!
well, its finally running. its now got an ls1 w/ all the parts from the old 5.3 in it plus a g5x3 cam! i am waiting for my pcm to get back from tunedbyfrost.com so i can run the correct injectors. for now im running a stock 5.3 pcm.

will all the systems work as far as the 4 o2 sensors maf and everything else with the 4 wire hookup,(im putting a 2000 6.0 in a 87 silverado)if so please send me the wiring info if you can,the one you said worked....i have the harness all the way to the firewall of the donor truck,fuse box etc,email is renewedthoughts@gmail.com
all right, i finally got the motor/trans shoved into the truck tonight. for mounting i am using ls to smallblock adaptors with the original clamshell truck mounts. i am reusing the th350 mount. i moved the motor mounts up a 1/4" to compensate for the adaptor plates. looks like im gonna have to move the crossmember forward an inch. i checked the driveshaft and still have plenty of engagement. here are some pics....

Im about done with my LQ4 and 4L80 into a 86 Suburban. You said you hooked up 4 wires to the factory fuse box and it worked? I have the factory fuse box also and am going to do the same set up. Can you explain what the 4 wires were and where you hooked them up? I guess im retarded thats why im following along with whats already been tried. Thanks.
