So im going to buy a new carb and i was just wondering what everyones opinion is on what works best with the ls motors. What size, peoples perfered brand and so on.
It will be going on an lq4 with L92 heads, a single plane gm intake, and a 225 duration cam.
I was thinking about getting a mighty demon 750.

definitely a Quick Fuel 750 or 850. I have had good luck with mine and I have had 6 different people try the one that I own and every person sold their carb to buy a quick fuel. The one I have is a 850 double pumper but with your cam size I would say a 750 would work good.

There have been a couple of threads with people stating their carb set up. Most seem to run a 750. Opinions run strong on the Demon carbs. Some people love it others think they have poor quality control.
I have a 750 Holley DP. This carb takes some tinkering to get right with an LS motor with the open plenum intake and stock cam. The out of the box idle circuits are jetted too rich. Getting something with adjustable air bleeds and/or idle restrictors would be a good idea. they also need a pretty good shot from the accelerator pump to get off idle without a bog. All of it can be done, just takes a little trial and error to get dialed in. I think a straight DP would be happier with more cam.
Annular vs. down leg is a little beyond my level of experience right now.
There is a pretty informative thread in the Gen 4 forum on cams for L92 head motors. Definitely worth a read. L92 head motors seem to respond quite differently to cam duration than cathederal port head motors. By the same logic that might influence the carb choice.

I agree on the Quick Fuel, yes on annular, had Demons, they are ok, just do yourself a favor & take the bowls off, and clean it before you start. They work fine after that.I have a friend that actually took a bag of metal shavings, from 5-6 of our Demons to PRI, and gave to Barry Grant, he denied an issue, huh

I would recommend a Pro Systems carb. They cost a little more than the others, but you get what you pay for. You tell them all the specs on your engine and they build a carb that will work for your set up.

im running a Holley 750DP, runs a little rich so I bought some jets to fix it but the weather has been bone chilling so Im gonna wait till i can get some dyno time and get it spot on and see what I have gained from dumping the 750 Edelbrock. I have a good size cam and heads that flow a little more then the L92's so I'd recommend a 750DP

I have a Quick Fuel 750 cfm carb for sale. It is new in the box with all paperwork. It is the Q series with annular boosters. These carbs come with the billet baseplate and metering blocks. I would like to get $600 shipped for it. Thanks, Mike.

ProSystems all the way!
no adjustments needed, worked great out of the box, made for my 6.0/l92.
The Idle, response and shift recovery is great, take a listen..
