6.0 wont do burnout,Torque Management
I have a 2007 6.0 in my chevelle with a 4l80e. 4.10 gears. If you try to power brake it with M/T et streets it will not spin the tires at all. The car seems to run good and has good power after your rolling but thats it. I am used to a big block chevy and it used to roast the tires with a blip of the throttle. My brother has an ls1 in his 81 camaro that will fry the tires 1st thru 3rd. I am wondering if the programmer left the torque management in and if the T/M could cause this. My 6.0 truck is the same way but my 5.3 yukon will do a good burnout. Thanks guys. this engine is all stock also.

the trans linkage is good. shifts good through all the gears. Maybe it just doesnt have enough power. It just seems weird that my 01 gmc truck wont spin the tires either but my 03 yukon will with a 5.3 engine. that is why I thought it might still have the torque management turned on.

I think there is a table in the computer called brake torque management that wont allow the engine to make but a limited amount of either horsepower or torque when the brakes are applied. Basically even though you are flooring it the throttle blade isnt opening very far.

Is there anyway to over ride this? This is just DBW, correct?

That car should blow the tires off without even touching the brakes. I'm guessing its still has all the torque management in the pcm, or the etc tables aren't right. Get someone with hptuners to pull the tune and post it up.
