Default 2001 5.3L fuel plumbing question

This engine is going into a `93 fox body and the stock fuel rail on this 5.3L has a return line. I was going to use the corvette fuel filter that is so popular but it has a return line on it. Can I plug the return line at the fuel rail, or do I have to use a regular filter and run a return line back to the tank from the rail?

Use a standard filter and run the return line to the tank. Truck rails have a regulator built into the rails so no extra pieces are required
