sooo funny story, I still thought the car might be holding some back, the throttle always was right at the limit with the old carpet, now with the thicker carpet and notdynamat i wanted to make sure the throttle was opening 100% I thow the scan tool on it...62% WTF... so now I am happy I just found 100 HP under the carpet I get looking around and notice the pedal feels really loose.. if you look closly at the part of the photo that is slightly less out of focus than the rest you can see the broken throttle pedal pivot..
supposed to be..
Well now I feel like a total bad azz. a borken throttle pivot...I drive this car! but then realize what a total PITA to replace, and power tour is now 9 days away, with a holiday weekend in the way... ugh.. looking online its all restoration parts untill i hit jegs..
so perfect, an aluminum upgrade, for 2 dollers more than the restoration plastic... so I order it and....Estimated Delivery: Wed. May. 29...the day before I leave for powertour...awesome

Glad that you found the issue with the accel pedal mount!
I am going to pick up the same one for my LS swap that I am in the middle of!
Great build thread and write up!!
Where did you mount your ecm? I see pics of the harness going behind the passenger side inner wheel well, but didn't see where you posted where you finally mounted the ecm?
which style? gen III or the smaller gen IV ?
pics?
What part of "upstate NY" is your dad in? I am originally from Buffalo
Thanks, Jeff

Lol, when I first put my car together I forgot to adjust the throttle cable so for the first couple months my throttle body was only opening 85%.... Yeah that should be fun to change with the engine there

I was there, but my car was shipped home with a broken driveshaft by then, it broke going into memphis. Pilot transport took care of me and shipped my car home for free in an enclosed hauler. When the shaft failed it took outthe tail housing, so hopfully the output shaft isn't bent...it also took out the magnaflow "x" pipe.. def getting a drive shaft loop! ....l

C6MAtt,
WOW. sorry to hear. Honestly though, how long did you think you could use a stock DS (assuming here) while using a boosted LS1?

Sorry I missed you at the Z Max! I did get to make some passes in the 69 down the quarter, was hoping to pull up beside you and have a little fun. I ended up breaking down and had to leave my car there till around 10:15pm. I had to go get my truck and trailer since Hagerty Ins. "couldn't find" someone to haul all 4 of us back without a taxi cab to follow the tow truck.
WTF!- I am highly disappointed in you Matt! You have a rocking LS V-8 with a super charger and you didn't install a driveshaft loop?

Sorry to hear you had troubles as well. Yours will be a little more expensive to fix though. I got mine running in a couple of days and about $50 worth of parts. Of course what went from a day of fun for around $100 ended up being an all-nighter and about $500. Not sure why we torture ourselves with these cars but it sure is fun when they are up and running.
