Default Brake booster vacuum line on truck intake

I was going to hook up my brake booster vacuum line to my truck intake manifold. It looks like there should be some sort of nipple on the back of the intake, but all that is there right now looks like some sort of "QD" type connetction for a nipple.

Anyone have a picture or have a part number of what I need to be using?

You need to take the plug out and replace it with the hose nipple. It comes out by pushing in on the red part while pulling out on the plug. I'll go get a pic.

Here's a pic, you need to take out the one on the left and replace with the one on the right. If you were closer I'd just let you have this one, but it would probably cost more to mail it than it would cost for a new one at the stealership. But if you can't come up with one let me know.

I thought it might be something like that.

12559760 has a 1/2" nipple. Is there a similar part that has a 3/8" ?

I want to bump this thread because I had the same problem. I just took the plug to my drill press and tapped it to the right size, then inserted it back in. No shipping charge required, no trip to the dealer.

Good luck.

I looked all over and never did find a part number for the plug. I just ended up getting one from someone who switched to the nipple for power brakes.

Intake brake booster block off plug when push red ring does whole plug come out or just center piece? Does nipple for hose fit into center piece push back in and red ring seal it to intake? 5.3 liter vortec in a 2004.

You push the red part in and pull the center black part out, the red part stays on the intake. Then either the plug or nipple will just push back in.
