Iron engine is about 70-80lbs heavier than the all aluminum engine.

An all iron pontiac 400 single 4 barrel with a/c, p/s...
Its a big honkin motor...
I have a '65 TRUE GTO with a 389 tri-power 4 speed... I want to give it a brother, something I can daily drive and still make like 600+rwhp and get like 15+ mpg...
Haven't found the car yet, but I am starting to work on the motor.

I believe the GM info is that the bare aluminum block weights 63lbs less than the bare iron block. Did that shipping weight of 535lbs include the weight of the crate or pallet?

I've read it to be something like a 84lb difference.
