LS3/4L70E into C4 Corvette
LS3/4L70E into C4 Corvette Hello everyone,
The L98 unfortunately gave up on my daily driver after 159,000 miles. It was blowing oil out of everywhere, and the day before it was pulled it started a small under hood fire that I was thankfully able to put out. That was scary because it melted the passenger side hood release cable and I was unable to open the hood on the right side.
Having had a few cars with TPI motors and missing the LS1 in my old '02 WS6 I decided to go with a LS3 for this car.
Here are a few pictures of the car before and my progress up to now.
The white dust is from the fire extinguisher.
Fire damage.
Junk LS1 test fit.
Burned cowl seal and A/C box
No wonder my A/C ducts were barely flowed any air.
The new evaporator is finally in.
C6 intake I will be using
LS3 is in as of 2/21. Waiting on my wiring harness.

Trans, Driveshaft, C-beam are in. Was too tired to take any good pics.
Simple. The factory ECM has nothing to do with the gauges. You just add the original sensors to the new motor. The only thing that is lost is the Instant/Average MPG.

Noticed you are using a 6 bolt to 4 bolt adapter on the tailhousing. How did that work out? is the 700r4 housing that much shorter than the 60e that there is room for that adapter or did you have to move the engine/trans forward to make the torque arm mount end up in the right place?
