5.3 swap question
Corvette / CTS-V (1997 - 2004) balancer PN: 12560115
F-Body balancer (1997 - 2002) PN: 12563281
The GM Performance Parts catalog recommends balencer 12620556 for the Corvette / CTS-V accessory drive. I believe this may be a newer part # for the one listed above since GM changes part numbers from time to time.
Hope this helps.
As for the spacer where do i buy one? i noticed my flex plate dips in a little bit not sure if that means anything.
gofastwclass is this the spacer your talking about?

i thought this 5.3 was suppose to be a cheaper swap...lol
now i still need the oil pan with stuff and alt. brackets...
As for the pan, look on ebay. The f body pans are expensive. I got a winged vette pan with pickup tube for $100, shipped. I found others even a few bucks cheaper.
Now that you've gone with the vette pulley spacing, you're limited to vette accessory brackets. Good luck finding those cheap....

Patience young grasshopper! Yes, that is the correct spacer but it appears GM has updated the part number for the six bolts. The spacer I listed allows you to use a factory flexplate with the engine. I got my flexplate from the JYD for $25 and the spacer and bolts were under $80. You really don't need the flat flexplate, you could have used the factory one.

BTW, I think the gasket between the upper and lower sections is abour $50, so figure that in the cost of a 2 piecs disassembled winged pan too.
The f body pan is more popular in a variety of swaps but generally goes for more than twice the price.
the flex plate they told me on the phone said it was a flat one and in the mail i get this dished one very similar to what i already have and the adapter is nothing like the gm one that bolts on to the stock flex plate.... im confused.
did they mess up my order or will this work also?
