Default Transmission crossmember?

I'm putting a LS1 and 4l60E in my 94 formula. I know the LS1 crossmember does not bolt in so what I was wondering if I need a LT1 auto crossmember or can I use a manual one? I have a manual one but my auto one got lost and ofcourse I have a LS1 auto one also.

You need the LT1 auto one and grind the hole out for the mount. Check the link in my sig for a pic. That is using the LT1 4L60E so using an LS1 trans it may line up a bit differently.

I would use the LT1 Auto Cross Member..and you are going to have to extend the slot in it about 1" to the rear..maybe more. The LS 4L60E Mount sits a little farther behind the LT 4L60E Mount on the Tranny.

A T56 Crossmember would be too far back.

Here is an important question..are you using the LS K-member and Motor mounts?

Ok..just checkin..the Conversion Mounts kick it back about 3/4".

Go with the LT1 Auto Cross Member..you will probably have to extend the slot.

How come? You put a non-stock engine in the car, you have to fudge some things
