You could also use the rearward heater hose port. Pull the steel nipple out and tap it to 3/8 NPT.

Working on adapting the plug in the block. Anyone have a link or part number to the correct adapter. Ordered a 1/2 MNPT to 3/8 FNPT and this will not work. Needs something inside for the probe to sit on. Without it, can basically move the wire/probe back and forth.. pretty sure that isn't going to be a good seal..



Also, for reference the hex head is 17mm (at least on mine which I think is about a 2009 5.3).

There should be a part that comes with your gauge that has male pipe threads on one end and female threads on the other for the nut on the sender bulb to thread into. That part will have the shoulder in it for the ridge on the bulb to fit against.

ugh... I definitely remember a brass fitting on the intake when I sold it.

Anyone have a preference one over the other?
