LS1 in a 55 chevy truck; speedo ???
I will be using a LS1 automatic car in a 55 chevy truck with an old Camaro rear end too. I'm planning to use an aftermarket speedometer (Dolphin or auto meter) and I want to know if it should be machanical or electrical and from where I will take the reading for the speedo? Thanks.

I read somewhere........ that the new electric speedometer ( unfortionatly I don't recall the brand or model) only required you to drive a measured mile and rest it. then you are done. I wish I could of remember more of it though.
