1992 s10 5.3/holset ht60 build
New to lsx motors. thought i would share my build with ya.
Started this about 2 weeks ago things going slow, I work 2 full time job, 1 job for bills and stuff, 2 job for this build!!
I try keep you guys updated when I can.
1. Motor is a 1999 5.3 with 45,789 miles I picked up at my local junkyard for the sum of $682.98 thats with tax
2. The truck is a 1992 s10 Its a truck I have owned for 5 years its been threw 3 gen sbc, 1 LT1 gen 2, now stepping up to gen III.
3. It has a 1997 ford explorer rear 3.73 gears
4. Trans is a th350 w/ TCI reverse manual valve body, 3500rpm stall, Pro-king rebuild kit.
5. The fuel will controlled by MEGASQUIRT 1
6. Spark will controlled by MSD 6LS1 ignition box
7. Turbo is a HOLSET HT60 which HUGE turbo A/R 1.0????I think
8. Intake is a LS6
9. Injectors are 60lbs simens for fuel injection connection
10. New timing set EDELBROCK double roller
11. New oil pump from gm ported by me
12. ARP main studs, ARP head studs, ARP cam bolts, ARP harmonic bolt, ARP
header bolts .... all 12 point
13. Heads are stock but plan to tear down mildly port with new valve seals,
GM LS6 yellow valve springs new retainers, locks etc....
14. 75mm TB from 2000 z28 camaro that I have ported and polished
15. Water pump is from 1999 camaro, crank pulley from same, alternator from same(MY S10 IS NON AC NON POWER STEERING which why I bought it)
16. Cam is from a 2003 C06 used $100.00 ebay

Updates
Well guys here an update on the build.
Started on the rearend 1997 ford 8.8" 3.73 gears rear discs brakes

Got started back on motor got it cleaned up and painted
going to pull heads off this weekend and port and polish etc.
Got the frame notch welded up
Frame notch for oil pan
Put some MASTER SERIES SILVER RUST PREVENTIVE on them
Going to pull front clip off and take frame down to metal and put MASTER SERIES SILVER RUST PREVENTIVE on the frame then paint GLOSS BLACK
I'm also working on headers for this thing I'll post some pics later
