Smaller power steering pulley?
#22
Looks like I won't need a smaller pulley. I forgot the s&p motor mounts put the engine further up, so the belt isn't lined up with the bolt.
The A arm is fairly close but I will need to get an alignment once I'm all done. Hopefully they remove 1 or 2 of the alignment spacers.

Samckitt,
I wish I was listening to you earlier. You are correct that the Dorman 300-301 pulley does NOT line up with the c5 corvette accessories. I had a squeak issue that I have been chasing for six months that all leads back to this pulley.
here is what the correct one should look like...

and the dorman one

Old thread, I know, but I was wondering what the diameter of the stock LS1 F-body p/s pulley was. I don't have one physically in front of me to compare to my current setup and am wondering if it would be worth the ~$40 to get one.

I'm going to add to this as I am in need of a 5" pulley and really don't want to buy a billet dirty dingo unless that's my last resort.
I have the corvette pump and holley bracket, my pump shaft is the .66 version. I found a thread where gary68 used a dorman 300-201 but his bracket looked like a truck bracket and dorman's website shows the shaft dia hole to be around .75 or something, def not .66
Any suggestions??

Check out the Dorman 300-126 if 5 3/4" will work.
From Rock Auto
DORMAN 300126 {#25522518} Metal; O.D.; 5-3/4"; Width: 1-1/4"; Belt Type: Serpentine; ID: .661"

After doing some measuring , even that much less on the pulley, it's going to hit the hi-pressure pump fitting on the gearbox
I broke down and ordered the dirty dingo 5" pulley, Thats going to give me plenty of room I need. Hated to spend that kind of cash on a pulley and they charge $14.50 shipping for priority mail in a small flat rate box which is only around $5 so that was hard to swallow lol.
But I needed it and had no choice

Hi Folks Im in the UK suffering with this LS Pulley problem, I have a 48 Chevy Stepside Running a Corvette LS1,My PS Pulley began spinning on the shaft. I ordered a Corvette Pulley and was told it didn't fir possibly because Camaro/Firebird LS1 have different shaft sizes, The Corvette Pulley purchased was too small. Ive since learnt that not all Corvettes have the same shaft size some .66 some .72, I take it mine is a .72. I had the fibre Pulley boss machined to fit but now suffer belt squeal and Im told that the pitches are different on some pulleys.....Id like to buy a Metal Pulley and Im told again that aftermarket pulleys are $100+ and yet an LS2 is $20 and upgraded to metal, Does anyone know the shaft size on the LS2? or are they different too......Im gonna hopefully stop the squeal today using a Gator Belt......

where is Dino's corvettes salvage in the UK or USA? Handy to know. I think I have the squeal problem solved the belt fitted by a Corvette Mechanic here in the uk was not only old but it was the wrong size and the tentioner was actually bottoming out. I purchased a new belt locally and fitted it myself now the problem is solved. However if the LS2 Meatl pulley fits Id like to replace the fibre pulley just fitted as I do not trust them.......
