Some of the PCM's are DBW ONLY so it is important to know what the application is.

I like to use the 1mb pcm when ever I can
i have a 2004 chevy 2500hd 4x4 6.0 my OS ID 12585950, i want to run 3bar map speed density but the VCM enhancements only allow for 2bar, not sure why, but which one of those you have listed above will work with my truck and allow me to have 3bar map please thanks oh also how can you tell if your OS is 512 or 1mb cause all my saved files in HPT list as 519.. ah and do you know if you need the 1mb OS to run 3bar

Good topic. So if I where to get a 2005 Escalade LQ9 block‚ install a LS6 intake and slap in its OEM Escalade PCM‚ it will run like a LS1 corvette?

To keep this now three year old thread relevant, I'm running an 04 LQ9 in my 84 T/A (I wll be once the swap is done), I should be able to run one of these 12582605, 12586242, 12589463 = 1mb, ECM's and be able to run my cable throttle body just fine?

Find "Pocket" here on the board. He built my custom third gen harness. He does great work and there are many people here and on thirdgen.org who swear by him.

If those are Gen IV PCM's they can't be converted to cable throttle. ALL Gen IV engines are wire throttle. GenIII pcms can't be used on GenIV without changing cam and crank reluctors and sensors.
