I have read that to properly torque the autokraft pan to the block that the stock bolts are too long. Some people say to use washers and some say to use shorter bolts. My question is Who has used either method and how has it worked for you? It should be easy enough to do either way but wanted to ask in case people found problems with either method months/years after the fact.
If using washers, how thick should they be? Are regular washers ok or is this a spot where its better to use lock washers?
If using shorter bolts, how much shorter? Does head style matter?
Can I just cut down the stock bolts?
