I am wondering how long should be the minimum in length? I am on vacation so I can not measure it. I was hoping to find out and order it so it will be delivered before I get home.

thanks,
Jim

Get longer than necessary and cut it down later. What works for some people wont always work for others, especially with improvised tools like this

thats my problem. I am having a hard time finding it. I have found fully threaded bolts. Up to 150mm. I just need a minimum though. I will have to wait longer for threaded rod. WHich I don't want to do.

does this bolt engage the threads much? I would think if it does, it would "bottom out".

thanks,
Jim

I just needs to be about and 1" to 2" longer than a stock balancer bolt. I found a bolt that was about 5" that worked with my LS1 balancer. Might need a bit longer one for a Truck Balancer?.
Remember to use a few washers and some grease to help make it turn a bit easier.

Thanks. I always forget to check them. My order was just placed. I wish they'd show shipping charges though. I hope my shipping doesn't equal the rod & nuts price.

thanks,
Jim

I just warmed it up with a propane torch and slid right on by hand.

You could probably boil it in a pot of water and get the same result.

thats a idea too. LOL. I should of thought of that concidering us Sea-Doo guys always put our wear rings (jet-pump) in the freezer prior to installing them.

Once I am home from vacation, I will install the balancer and sell whatever I have left from my threaded rod/nuts for people who don't want to spend $45.oo from the LS1/tools member.

It has a thick washer so I took it off to get the balancer started and then put back on and tightened it up. Its the bolt listed for an LS1 so it is the proper length.
