Bought some UPR Tubular A-Arms, just waiting for them to come in. Then I can reassemble the front suspension. Also going to check out a TH400 a buddy has.

This is one of the more original builds I have seen. Most people do swaps on more readily known cars with more sought after body styles. However, I'm interested to see how it turns out.

Thanks guys! Got the tranny, definitely interesting. It has a JW Ultra Bell and supposedly came out of a "800 hp 60s camaro" yet it has a vacuum modulator on the side and is said to have a TCI RMVB w/ no transbrake. I have no clue, going to pop open the pan tomorrow and check it out. Picked it up for 400 bucks.

Regardless what it has, its going in as it sits.
EFI Live is on its way.

It seems everything left to buy aren't really "big" ticket items.

A TH400 will last longer than any TH350, unless its a pro build with a boatload of high dollar parts thrown at it!

I like fairmonts. My buddy had one in high school that was an old mail car from the post office. We beat them **** out of it for about 4 years them my brother inlaw had it for a few years. It was still running. Poor car lol.

I would put that 6 banger in your buddy's car and run a n20 hosee straight off the bottle with no jets in it and crack the valve open going down track. It will last longer than one run I bet.
I know a guy who did this to a ls1 camaro and it lasted all summer doing this occasionally. The results were not stellar lol.

Cool build man. I like it.

Finally got around to looking in the spark plug holes, I believe I have a 4.8 - Engine has flat top pistons, I couldn't see a dish.

This won't slow me down one bit. I'm putting the 4.8 in - lets see how fast it can take me. Boost it 'till it grenades. I want to break into the 9s stock motor 4.8 lets see!

Got the motor on the stand, looks pretty.

Bought Tim's Valve Spring tool. Going to be doing the springs soon.

Well if its a 4.8 it still going 2 make a crapload off power. I think turbo is the best way to go!

Glad I found this build! I plan on doing a "budget 408" from AES, and a T-56 in my Fairmont wagon. Also going to throw Maximum Motorsports catalog at the chassis (same as a fox Mustang, after all) and make it turn as well!
I almost don't want to paint my car, seen at left, and thinking of rocking some custom 15x8 stock looking steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps...

Get this thing up & going so we can see some vids!!!!!

Started working on the valve springs, got one side of the motor done. They look awesome! I am using Tim's Valve Spring tool. Great deal!

Picked up a set of UPR Billet Caster Camber Plates, bought a brand-new LS3 Oil Pan/Gasket/Pickup/etc off of a crate motor, also picked up a set of drag lites.

15x10 with 275/50 Drag radials
15x5 with brand new fronts.

Picked up an 4 Lug 8.8 with 2.73 gears LSD. I think I will use these gears/rear for the time being for "mock up" and first few weeks running. Will probably be changing to 5 Lug down the line with disc and 3.31 gears.

Pictures to come tomorrow!
