I can't believe that this thread got bumped up today because I just looked a 79 Fairmont today for $800.

You are doing exactly what needs to be done to that ugly car. Great build.

Thanks for going out of your way for the pics... how much did you pick the harness up for?

Picked up some new brakes. Looks like I'm going 5 lug, on the front at least. I have the full front brake setup from a 2003 GT. The twin-piston PBR calipers look niceee.

Also put the order in for the TH400 converter adapter.

I'm in the market for 94-95 Front Spindles and Hubs now.

I have to finish the motor. Still need to put the LS6 cam in and swap the oil pans. From there I have to notch the JW Bell Housing and bolt the motor to the transmission.

After that, its just a matter of putting it in and fabbing up the transmission cross member and turbo kit. I have an abundance of 2 1/2" Mild Steel so the turbo kit shouldn't be much issue.

Two days ago...I bought a toy. I grabbed a 1989 Mustang 5.0 Coupe for 1000 bucks. I'll toss some pictures up of that bad boy.
