I've been thinking of a Turbo 5.3 in my Regal (which is a good bit heavier than your car) but I only wanna run in the 10.50 range. Hell I may just spray it and see.

Very Cool car. What size injectors are you running?

That's funny, I don't care who you are!

This picture (stolen from the first page) is a top secret shot of the new Holley brand injectors he is running...

Time for an anti-roll bar, I'd say.

5.3 had 80k on it and is completely stock with the exception to the cam, push rods and valve springs.

VERY impressive build, man; many a guy has 10X as many doodads in his car and can't touch 10 flat. Excellent work!

Oh, and the fact that the car sounds so badass is really icing on the cake...

Very cool, I just sat here for an hour reading through this thread..amazing how little it takes to make an LS motor run so well in a light car. So how many passes do you have on this combo so far?..or should I say how long do you expect the stock bottom end 5.3 to hold up on 150 shot passes?? not to jinx you but do you have any plans for a future build up when this thing finally lets go??

this car is still my inspiration every day. picking up a block tomorrow. thinking about decking it and boring to 5.7L and running ls1 take outs. then trying to find a set of 243 heads that arent going to make me need lube. havent decided what cam i want yet.

2 questions. what manifold are you running? and im guessing you are running a msd 6010?

Honestly how I did it when I made the bracket, I used a sheet of note book paper and layed it against the head and poked the bolt holes out for location and the traced the layout and transfered it to sheet steel. First one was out of 1/8" plate and actually bowed enough to break the lower bolt. New bracket is 1/4" and works great.

I'm not sure on total count but I know I have at least 30 runs or more on the combination and over a dozen have been on the bottle. Next step is to add a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous and push it up to 175 and posibly 200 shot. If it comes apart find another cheap long block and keep on pushing it.
