Awesome job turning this pony into a 10second ride! couple of questions:
I know you did a cam, but what about the rotating assemblies?
what did you have to beef up to take that kind of abuse? Did you do rebuild the lower end or is all that stock? Where I'm going, you know as well as me you can pick up 5.3s all day for under $500 used. Just seems too easy
....I know you have a crap load of testing and work on yours.

The only thing I changed was cam, push rods, and valve springs. Never even had the pan off the lower end. All I knew when I purchased the engine was that it came from a running truck with 80k on it. Every time we take this thing to the track it improves making it way to easy.

Ran a local Heads up series today. This morning first pass off the trailer was:
1.373 60'
6.35 @ 106.9 mph 1/8
10.03 @ 133.6 mph
Went 10.06 and 10.07 on the other passes.

i have seen the car at vamp and mokan both. cool setup. love the 5.3 badge. im building a turbocharged 5.3 fox right now. still have a bunch of parts to buy but im making progress. what class in vamp do you run? i have a couple family members that run in drag radial so im always busy messing with that, but wanted to stop by and look at the car some time. looks to be a badass build.

Currently running in Outlaw but have distant future plans for 8.5. Which DR cars are your family members? Turbo 5.3 is the way to go. Wish I would have stuck with my original plan of staying FI with a single turbo. But I'm having alot of fun learning with the nitrous for now.

Yeah I know who they are, Kendall know's my cousin, and I sold a Firebird I had to skinnies a few year back. Hopefully the weather changes so we can all race again this weekend. Good luck on your turbo lsx should turn out to be a fast ride with the help you've got.

I absolutely love your set up man. Its very simple engine combination and the car is LIGHT, and runs great. What I also like is that you keep upgrading the parts as time goes by, so you know your setup well and you get use to the car in no time. A lot of people go too radical on their new build and it takes them a while to get use to the new setup. Good luck with the car man, looking great so far!
