Damn, Just sat here for the last 2 hours and read this entire build. The car looks amazing!I love that color. You r right reading threads like this is an inspiration to keep building on our personal vehicles. I am currently in the process of building a '69 z camaro from the groung up with a stock stroke 6.0 and twins and you sir gave me a lot of ideas. Thank you

I'm glad that I could return the favor from all the good build threads on here Stephan.
Finally a drag strip night with some results worth posting. I'm still working on the chassis adjustment and getting my 60 foot times to improve. I made 4 passes last night, progressively adding more boost and small shock adjustments. Sixty times went 1.50 then 1.48, 1.46 and 1.459. So my shock adjustments firmer in rear and a little tighter in front appeared to help.
ETs were 6.33 @ 112.5; 6.22 @ 115.6; 6.11 @ 117.3; and 6.12 @ 117.2
Unfortunately the last pass I picked up some false knock before even leaving the line and the ECM pulled 3° advance out for the entire pass. Who knows if that could have been my elusive 5.99 number... These were all made with 93 octane pumpgas, a maximum of 15 psi boost, and I drove to/from the track without any problems all night. Had a bunch of friends there and was just a really good night of racing. Each pass, until the 4th, was my new personal best.

Hi I race in a street legal street race it is a 1/8 mile I'm running a 12 to 1 383 with a gen one it does real well. But lost one race last year to a mustang that was bad fast. I cant run my nitrous in this event but can run a boosted motor was thanking of running one 88 turbo with twenty pounds of boost and vp116 fuel. Need help with parts list for turbo set up on a budget, especially the exhaust manifold cant seem to find a reasonable one, also need to know what boost controller is needed running msd 6 digital ignition. with a built in retard was thanking msd boost controller might work to back timing of under boost. The engine put out around 600 hp on motor with a cheater plate system. I'm running all forged parts with iron eagle platinum heads.

Slight improvement in ET from this past weekend - 6.06 at 118.6 mph. I've ordered a pair of M/T 275/60/15 radials to replace my old (8 to 10 years old) Hoosier 26"x9" slicks. Maybe that will give a slight improvement on my 60' times.
Several of us in North Alabama plan to get together on July 6 at Jake's Dragstrip to duke it out for the first 2013 street driven car <5.99 (it's a local forum challenge thing). So far there are 2 of us in the 6.0 range so somebody should be taking home the honors that night.

The new M/T drag radials worked awesome on my car. They picked up my 60' time by 0.11 seconds for a best ever 1.34. Finally broke into the 5's after getting my boost controller settings tweaked for the track conditions. I still need to work on suspension - the front comes up to quickly then rebounds and unloads the rear. But it's working decently enough I suppose.

Impressive. I haven't read the entire thread.
Are you running headers? Or what?
Do you now run a spool? Or what?
Have you considered going to a Powerglide?
What about some spray?

I am currently using a spool in my 12-bolt with 3.08 gears. It's the best choice for light, strong, and cheap but I'm not really happy with it for street driving. It's called a compromise.
I doubt that I'll change to a powerglide since my TH-400 is holding up now. Granted they are lighter and very strong but I'm done with spending big money for a while.
I still have a complete NOS kit and even still have the bottle mounts in the trunk. Don't see any reason to add nitrous to it though if I can pull mid 1.3 sixty foot times.
Over the past couple of weeks I've been upgrading little things to prepare for running True Street and Rumble at Holley's LS Fest next weekend. Since I only have a 6-point roll bar I will have to limit the ET to 10.00. So far I've added a horn, radiator catch can, neutral safety switch, bracket for CO2 bottle, updated harness, fixed driveshaft loop, and added a sealed battery box. Also added a methanol injection kit to help cool the IAT after 3 back-to-back ¼ mile passes in True Street. Hope to make some passes tonight here at Huntsville to dial it in at 6.40 which should be close to the 10.00 in a quarter mile.

I'm using C6 Corvette exhaust manifolds. An aftermarket Martz subframe gives me a lot of clearance to route 2½" exhaust tubing around the engine mounts and up into the turbos.
