Default A little wiring help please.

1: Is this 01 silvarado fuse block have the same three wire extra hook up as a 2003 avalanche. If so I just want to be sure of the ( C3 - F1 - GRAY - Power feed to fuel pump) This powers the pump from the pcm correct? I wont need anything else to power the fuel pump.

Here is the link im working from: http://www.lt1swap.com/underhoodfuseblock.htm

2: Where exactly do I hook my VSS up to on my blue/green 03 avalanche harrness?

3 should the engine run all be it not well with out the MAF meter? or just start and die?

Wink

Fuel pump connections are the same.

VSS pins are the same green PCM connector 20 and 21.

Engine will not stay running without a MAF unless dis-abled in the PCM file (speed density mode). BTW the truck harness has the inlet air temp send=sor intigrated into the maf, so if you want to run in SD then you need to add a IAT pigtail and sensor. If you dont add the sensor the PCM will show temps of -40 degrees and add tons of fuel all the time.

OK here is where I am. I am using a Dakota digital 8 pulse vss and according

to the instructions It has a ground and a speed signal wire. Anyone know how I

should hook this up to my PCM? pin 20 is a low signal and pin 21 is a high signal.

Any idea how I should hook this up? Oh and when I had the PCM reprogrammed

they knew this is what I was using.

Red Pin 10 is TACH signal output. (03+ is green connector, same pin #)

The dakota sensor hooks where the factory GM speed sensor hooked up, lt green/blk and purple/white wire that is part of main engine harness, that dropped down back of intake on drivers side. These wires go to PCM red (03+green) pins 20,21. It does not matter which wire of the dakota sensor you hook to the two speed sensor wires in the harness. The dakota sensor produces an a/c voltage signal, so polarity does not matter.

As for the MAF, the engine will start with MAF electrical connector unplugged. This will results in a MAF code setting after startup, and pcm runs in speed density basically. Now, if you remove the air intake tubing, and leave MAF plugged in electrically, engine will not start up, or will run very poorly.
