Default ls1 engine in an fwd 04 grand prix?

after seeing this LS1-powered Impala SS : http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...03GMH_homerun/

I was just seeing the feasability of putting an LS1 in my 04 Grand Prix w/o converting to RWD....any thoughts/experiences?

That car also has a full tube chassis and I think was a $70,000 job

I think it can be done ... I'm not sure about the gauges and I dont know how long the transmissions would last.

When that "someone" is John Moss and GM's advanced concepts group, it's different than my biddues and I doing it in my garage. I'd out this one at 13 out of 10 on the difficulty scale for the do-it-yourselfer.

That GN-powered GP does look sweet though.

Valvegod@aol.com has some parts you would need for this swap, it's all stuff for converting the Impala FWD over to LS1... he sells it for about $1000.
