I have to agree with Verz, the gray and black combo is badass!!
If you ever have a need for air duct tubing in the future, check with Oreilly's Auto parts as they carry the OEM style. I was shorted by Vintage Air on my kit and had to buy some extra.

well I got the rears cut, but not welded.

Here's how I measured. Looked around, and found that I wanted to cut between 3 and 4". I settled on 3.5. So I made marks at the top of the fender (where the cut would be the deepest) and mounted the flares 1" higher than what I wanted to cut.

I then marked it an inch all the way around, and tapered the edges.

Then I cut the outer layer of sheet metal, and cut it again lower so I could access the inner layer to cut it.

Here is the passenger rear at full tuck.

AH. Thats good info. I was doing this on easter sunday, so almost nothing was open. I think it will be fine though.

Indeed. It took about a month longer than planned, but it wasn't a hold up. It was worth the wait.

If you look close, I had them put a -10 bung on the feed.

You know, just in case I ever need it

ONLY TO FIND IT HAD A ******* HOLE IN IT

so someone will be getting a phone call on monday. no excuse for that as much as i paid for it and as long as i waited.

That's pretty much it. There's a monster thread in suspension and chassis on hybridz.org about the camber plate install for those who are interested.

Great job on the tail pipe exits! Are you going to smooth off the roll pan or run the bumper? A shortened 69 Camaro bumper would look nice tucked tight right under the tail lights! Sorry to hear about the fuel tank. These after market companies just dont put pride in their work any more. You would think they would have at least pressure tested the tank before shipping. Dont feel alone as I have been left with some inferior products. Bad thing is, you pay good money for these parts and are left with crap. Hope they get the issue resolved and resolved quickly. We want to see this thing in action.

I can get a picture, but its pretty simple. I just drilled 4 holes in the floor, and used large washers on top, with 8mm bolts. You can see the stand-offs in the first pic of the tank.

I'm just going to run it as-is for the time being, and probably just fill the holes and run it like that unless i come across a 240z bumper somewhere. Yeah I'm pretty pissed about the hole in the tank. Its where the shop welded the baffle in. The thing that sucks is that I now have to drain it, hotsy wash it, and either ship it to the shop (in houston) or find someone local to do it. Either way I'm out time and money. I'll call them tomorrow and see if they will just give me some cash so I can get it done local........

Get ahold of tim Webb at the harley shop in Topeka. If not, I know a guy who welds aluminum for a living and does show quality work.

Thanks, but its not even worth leaving town for. Its literally a pinhole that will take one touch of the TIG torch.

Can't imagine why they wouldn't pressure test/leak test a tank.

Looking good and enjoying the updates.

Well I had to order a new FPR from speedway. It will be here today.

Well aside from wheels, and the new FPR, she's ready for the road!
