GREAT.

The tokico Illumina shocks i ordered to complete my coilover setup are on national backorder - or thats the line i was fed by an ebay seller.

I ordered them the 4th, and they FINALLY had the courtesy to tell me they were backordered yesterday, AFTER i emailed them asking where my stuff was.

This is the SECOND company who has bent me over by not telling me they were out of a product, and selling it to me anyway! SO FRUSTRATING

On a side note, I was able to get the strut tubes prepped for sectioning ( perches removed, paint removed, etc), but the tubing cutter i bought was too small <_< , so thats as far as i got. (sorry no pics)

However, I did get my Ron Tyler diff mount done, which i had a friend waterjet cut for me. shout out to aknovaman

Tacked it while in the car

Idk why there was so much spatter, it was a MIG with gas. I think because the metal was so clean, more of it stuck

Also, the fuel system has been re-ordered, and should be here by the first of the week. Then it gets sent to the fab shop doing the tank, and it will be a week turnaround!

Baby steps

He could definitely get one cut. Were you wanting pieces, or an assembled unit?

Its an R200 with the spider gears welded..........For now. We'll see how long the U-joint axles last .

Its mainly just to get the car moving at the moment.

PM'd you my buddy's email on the diff mount.

Thanks for the info ! Yeah, I'm using a R200 too. I just got the mustache bar for it last weekend at the junkyard for $22. I'm also going with the z31 cv axles, I just have to buy the adapters for it. There is a company out here in Cali that makes them, that way I dont have to deal with Modern Motorsports in Canada. Maybe your buddy can fab up some adapters too cheaper, IDK it would be cool though !

Your project is looking good, you'll be done before I will....Money you know how that goes !

Did you talk to Kim to get the wheels? Gonna get a set for my new(old) Z which will be getting LS1 swapped over the next month. If you don't mind me asking what did you end up paying for them? And what size tires you plan on going with? Build is looking great though, might have to get me some of that spray on bedliner, looks like it turns out pretty good. Bet you can't wait to get that thing driving, cause I know I can't wait to get mine driving and the LS1 is still in my wrecked firebird lol.

Yep, Kim for the wheels. I paid $875 shipped. I'm still up in the air on the tires right now actually. I'm trying to get opinions on what will actually fit. some say 245, some say 275, or even a 315 if you get the BAMF flares. I haven't bought flares yet either. I'm just having a hard time convincing myself to cut up a rust free Z

Also have been thinking about 5 lug swapping it . so many unknowns in the equation right now.

Spent a LONG *** time on the engine harness and body harness yesterday. To the tune of 7-8 hours. Found out that the moron who built the harness removed the high speed fan pin, so I'm currently looking for a pin to put in the PCM connector...

Other than that, I got the plate for the relays done, and the relay section of the harness, and the gauge portion of the harness shortened. I added weatherpack connectors to connect the engine harness to my dash gauges. Also, the trigger wire for the harness relay, and the trigger wire for the starter. Basically made the harness so i can pull it in about 5 minutes, only unbolting it from the starter.

The remainder of the fuel system should be here tomorrow, then its off to the fab shop!

slow progress....

Thanks for the info, but the wire is ran, and the harness is wrapped up. Basically everything is its own entity now. Also worked on mounting the PCM.

Here's the PCM bracket that I built. I did some eyeball measuring, and I THINK that it will be free from interference with the glove box. If it does interfere, it is only a quick cut and weld away from fitting.

This is what its replacing - as most of the factory wiring is gone now.

Love the tucked exhaust! Where did you find the flanges for the exhaust pipes? I assume they weld on, right?

Yes they do weld on. I'm definitely in love with the Vbands.

Found them here

http://www.siliconeintakes.com/produ...f8a8f9f02dd603

Clamps are a page up.

Thanks guys! Everyone said there wasn't room for dual 3" on this car, but it's got about 3 times the room my F body did! LOL torque arm live axle for the loss.

I also am nearing completion on my coilover kit.

wow, that is slick all tucked up in there! Gonna have room for an X or H pipe?

V bands are sweet, but they can be a bit finicky.
