whats the best way to block off the stock ls1 water pump heater hose ports

The 'best' way or the easy way? As far as the best way, twist & pull the hose fittings out of the pump, tap the holes NPT and screw in a nice set of plugs. For the easy, redneck way, simply loop a section of hose between the 2 fittings, attach with ugly hose clamps. Just my opinion.

Rhino, something that my Dad taught me when I was a young man, "it only takes a little more effort to do it right the first time". I've lived by that philosophy for over 45 years and it's served me well.

BTW, a good pair of Vise-Grips will get the hose fittings out of the water pump.

just dont over tighten the plugs it can crack the pump, ask me how i know lol

Dayco # 87629 or Kelly-Springfield #S-4354. Not sure what the cross reference numbers are for Gates etc. Around $8-9 at most parts stores

Better option than the GM number people are throwing around

Thanks for the part number's I will now be doing this lol I looked in my tap kit the other day and My npt taps don't go up that big so by the time I bought new taps this route will be way more budget friendly
