Default BMW M3 440ci LS7 running Samberg Fab parts! Lots of pics

This car belongs to my buddy Mike (MAS280) and he just got his other LSx powered car completed this week with fresh paint, some new rims running NT-01 255/17's, fresh black interior with Evo suede seats. He brought it over and I snapped some pictures. Lighting wasn't the best... but the car looks GOOD!

Running the following Samberg e36 conversion parts:
Kmember
stainless steel headers
trans mount
custom Samberg 2.5" dual exhaust into a beefy Magnaflo dual 2.5 with a single 3.5" outlet muffler. It sounds healthy!

This should be an easy 10 second car and with the 3.36 gears out back it truly can put the power down of Mike's old... but detuned 440ci LS7 with TFS 235cc heads and FAST 90/90 intake that went 196mph in his FD RX-7 at the TX Mile last Fall in 2009. This version of the car is running an LS2 computer with DBW 90mm TB and GTO DBW gas pedal. Very tame until you mash the GO pedal. It has a Monster Stg 3 clutch and the pedal pressure is like butter. As light as stock.

Enjoy the pictures! I gave my 71 year old dad a ride in it (Mike was nice enuf to chuck me the keys) and he loved it. His glasses about flew off his head as I hit it in 2nd!)

That is a sick swap. Very clean and nicely done. I bet it is a blast to drive. I have an 81 BMW 320i that I want to swap an LS1 into someday when I finish my other projects.

My favorite color, have the same color sedan.

Shady or shaddy friends? Mike is from TX originally. They like guns

All over this Ferrari F430. Remember the M3 is running stock 100K mile suspension.... only upgrades are rims and Nitto NT-01 tires.

Track day was at Reno Fernley just outside of Reno, NV.

I used to be into BMWs (President of the BMWCCA Michigan BMW club in the '80s) and am now installing an LS2 into my '81 Camaro.
Anybody have a guess on how much HP/Torque an M3 (or 335xi) trans and drivetrain can handle? I would think this engine (600HP ?) would shred it.

We don't use the BMW Tranny, using the Tremec T-56. The M3 Diff has been behind many high power aftermarket BMW engine w/o issue.
