Starting a 71 Chevelle LS3 swap I am planning stages to replace the 350 in my Chevelle with an LS3/4L60E combo.
Car started life as a green 6cyl Malibu. It has all original sheetmetal except the hood and front fenders. I pulled off a 95 Jeep YJ 5.3L conversion last year and it turned out awesome. My Jeep's mileage (with 33x12.50's) went from 10 to 18 hwy. My biggest concern going into this is no having to cut my floorpans or frame. I am also doing big brakes, suspension and wheels too. I had an 02 Vette with a 415RWPH LS1 and a built 4L60E that held up very well. So I am hoping that someone sells a beefed up 4L60E that can handle a cammed LS3 with about 460RWHP (which is my goal). I read a few thread about LG Motorsports Excecutive G6XE cam making 460RWHP in some Vettes and 2010 Camaros so I am excited about that. Streetable and potent.

Thanks for the compliment. I have had 2 Fbodys and a Corvette, one with LT1 and two with LS power! I love LSx engines and have always loved the old 69-72 A-Body cars just could never afford a nice one until now. My goal is to make this car handle and brake and accelerate with an F-Body and be totally reliable and maintain much of the classic look of the original Chevelle. Everytime I see one of these old cars in the hybrid section I just drool so I just decided to pull the trigger and do it. I have one LS swap under my belt already (95 Jeep YJ) so I am getting brave now.
