well been making progress. Ordered a SBF sprint car header kit and ls flanges, cut and fit and tacked them up. also made a carb scoop out of 1/8" aluminum. hopefully i can fire it up by next weekend

I bought my boat complete for 2250. It was in sad shape and now I've redone every single thing. Be better off to find a good 4k deal that needs alot less work

Mine had a smallblock and went 68 on gps with a passenger full cooler and 20 gallons of gas

Did you weld the valve covers for the smoth look(elimating the coil bosses)?

That's a sweet boat man, I've been trying to talk my dad's buddy into an ls for his flatbottom, but he think's it would be too much work. I will have to show him your swap to prove him wrong. lol

finally got the motor in for the final time and fired it up again today. I have to finish wiring and plumbing it

Sweet man! So what did you think about the performance on the water? I forgot what you pulled out but how does it compare?

Did you GPS you speed yet to see if you get more speed than the previous setup? I have heard a lot of people talk crap about SBC in jet boats and sware by BBC. But you can get more horsepower out of a SBC dollar for dollar IMO.
