Yea I was afraid of the height thing after reading about the same issues in Fbodies. But S10s seem to accept these seats better I've read they come out about 3/4" higher but most dont keep the power rails either so Im going to try to mod the power rails to fit and still keep the height low. Im a short guy 5'10" so a little more seat height wont hurt too much but I would like lower seats for a more sporty less truck feel. But I think the buckets instead of the bench will help in that feel though too.

Thinking either Smokeys dyno or Big3racing.
Found a console its a little rough since the vehicle it was in didnt have any windows so all the bins where full of water and its missing the rubber trays but I got it for 40.
A little purple power and carpet cleaner and voila, Plastic is weathered though. Not sure armorall will take care of that.

Yea im a fan of their fanpage on facebook and Im constantly seeing them tune ls vehicles so it seems like they do a lot of them and know what they're doing. Plus they're only the next town over so its nice and close. I was surprised to see Akron HP leave. Seemed every ford around was tuned by them but I did try to get them to do a gear swap plus zexel install in my old 7.5" and they seemed less then interested and told me it wasnt worth it because " Its just a truck with a v6".

Agree with the use of SEM in black, stuff works great and can prolly even work to dye the gto stitching on the seats. Great score on the seats and console and the swap looks/sounds great.

Ran out of dremel cut off wheels so I stopped after cleaning up the drivers side.
Removed all the gto mounts
Looks like the s10 mounting points have to got 1 rail width inboard to be the 13.5" on center rail spacing.

Sorry for the grammer. Meant to say " Looks like the s10 mounting points have to be 1 rail width inboard to be in the correct original 13.5" on center rail spacing.
Ill pick up more cut off discs for the dremel, some angle iron and flat steel so I can mount the floor mounting points of the stock rails to the gto rails.

Messed up and tried to run it with the stock mounts cut really short since it looked like it had plenty of room but then the rails hit the bump where the trans crossmember runs. So I welded them back to the stock mounts and cut out the riviets to seperate the bottom rail from the slider so its like this.
Welded the bottom rail directly inboard to the gto slider. Mounted the gto sliders about an inch farther back to give me extra rearward adjustablity since I never bring the seats all the way up. Just tacked in place for now.
Needs power so I can move the recliner and adjust the tilt of the seat but it works. Feels to sit a tad higher maybe, because I had to change my mirror but that might be because I was sitting up and not laying back on the back of the seat.
I have the seat back folded forward on these pics.
Sorry dog seems to end up in every pic.
