Default 71 c10 lwb turbo 5.3

picked up 71 c10 couple months ago plans were to lower and install 6.0 but few weeks ago i picked up 5.3 with computer and harness for $300 so decided to do turbo setup
this is when i picked up the truck

hey brother, replace the rockers while you are at it. They are a VERY common problem with the 67-72's Yours may be fine, but they are very prone to rust. We had to replace the cab corners and rockers in all 6 we did full restos on.

Are you keeping the LWB, or you going to shorten it?

If you need any help getting the 5.3 in, let me know. I will try to help as much as possible. We ran the LS1 with F-Body accessories and a 4l60e. Kept the a/c and power steering.

Looks great, and i will be following everything VERY closely, as i want to twin snail my c10 in the future

roxker are solid on the truck. engine fit better than i thought it would alot better than the 6.0 i had in my old s10

keeping it long bed i like them also the truck ac fits well tucks right in frame i just have to cut bend and reweld top of frame weld to clear lines

got frame primed may leave it that way did lil body work where my welds are, also ordered all new ball joints, tie rods, and a-arm shafts still need to get new wheel bearings and drop spindles

got few mor things don new fuel tank, all new front suspension parts, got engine and trans set in place. also got turbo in and ordered bags for it

leaving frame primed its not gonna be a show truck or anything just good daily driver, as for paint its going to be low gloss black tractor paint since this is low buck build

what bags did you end up going with? I have been interested in bagging my C10 too, and the air ride kit is uber expensive

got the ac compressor mounted had to bend frame down a lil to clear hoses also have lots of parts on there way

got more parts 02 zo6 cam, walbro 255, tail bov, areomotive fpr with boost reference,60lb injecters, 3x4 coupler for turbo pipe to throttle body

Have you checked for clearance between the brake master cylinder and the manifold? Mine wouldn't fit with out some cutting and welding.
