Take it this project died? Anyone seen a successful LS transplant into a 64-66 Mustang without eliminating the shock towers?

Honestly, you get soooo much more room w/o the shock towers. It's worth the upgrade cost for the front clip. My Maverick has the RCMotorsports front clip, it was ~ $2500 with coil-overs, rack & pinion, and 11" disc brakes...

I've been thinking about trying to do a very budget oriented 5.3 swap into a 64-66 Mustang and swaping the Kmember to eliminate the shock towers is more involved than I want to do right now. I've had the idea for a while and was hoping someone else had executed on it by now.
