Nice to hear there is still alot of interest. I am working on some things at the moment. Hopeing by the end of June to have the truck apart and possibly in the shop for header fab. All depends on my personal cash flow.

As far as the auto trans, I might slap a bad engine block and busted heads in just to get things setup. That way I can pull the T-56 in favor of a 4L60E to check clearances.

Thanks for the bump.

I have been very busy with my wedding. After that (early/mid july), I will be getting my ducks in a row. The wire harness will be ordered in the coming weeks. I have alot of the other parts already in house. So I am hoping everything will go smoothly. (a new build thread will be up once the truck is ready)

Thanks to everyone interested.

I think he (Sandmann) may have been wondering the same as I; -any further discussion with American Racing for 1 7/8's? Just curious. I'm a bit further along and serious about picking up some inframe LT's. If we're gonna be loking @ another 6 months for production I'm gonna have to go w/the 1 3/4's that are already available is why I ask.

Thanks man, and congrats on the wedding.

I personally don't care if the headers are full fenderwell headers, with all tubes outside the frame. Suits me just fine. I just don't want to lay out the kind of cash BRP is asking for a set of full tube 1 7/8" or larger headers.

I know this is an old thread, and right about now your dealing with a wedding. I'm more putting this up as food for thought.

Thanks for bumping up the thread. I am actually in the process of tearing the truck down. The wedding is over and was great. The clutch blew in it a couple weeks prior. I got the truck inside, sold the 2.2 and the 7 5/8 posi rear. So I purchased my engine harness, and the ball is rolling. Hoping to have the headers under way in about 2 months. I have to wait till the engine harness is done.

As far as the headers, they will be inside the frame rails, have plenty of ground clearance, and be superior quality. I just hope people are willing to pay for them. I am, and am also willing to get things moving to help others get a great quality and fitting large tube long tube header.

BTW, look for pics in the next week or two of the trucks progress.

I am working on getting things done quickly. But I am hampered by both time and funding. The old 2.2 5 speed combo is out. As well as the od 7 5/8 rear. All of it has been sold, and waiting for payment/pickup. That is funding the engine harness which was ordered earlier this week. And that has a 2 month waiting period. Hoping by that tine the truck will be ready, and I will have the funds for the headers.

Pics of them will be sent to me as they are built. I will then post them here, and hopefully get some preorders. Or else I will have the only set of in frame 1 7/8 stainless LT's ever made. LOL.
