Default LS7 Syclone

Just putting a quick post up of my project. I will not be updating it a ton as any spare time I have will be in the garage working on the truck. I will be uploading pics on Photorbucket here.http://s266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ndy%20Syclone/

The build is as follows.
LS7 out of a 2007 Z06
Diamond forged pistons
Hand ported the heads
Cut the heads to 67CC
Cometic 0.040 head gaskets
compresson is 11.9-1
Fast 102 intake and throttl body
Stock crank and Ti rods
ARP main studs, heads studs
ARP rod bolts.
comp Cam 246/254 116+5 .620 lift
JP billet double roller timing chain
Stock rocker with comp bearing upgrade
Melling oil pump
RPM oilpan
RPM 1 7/8 long tube headers
Short 60lbs injectors with Fast rails
0411 ECM set up to run 4L80e

Motor dynoed out at 675hp 590lbs and made 470lbs at 2400rpm.

Trans is a built 4L80e with Circle D triple disk converter.

Plan is to drag, road race, autocross, cruze just wear the damn thing out.

I will be staring the install of the 4 link in the back soon and will be taking pics.

I'm gonna be doing the same pretty soon with my Syclone. Only difference is I will probably just go with a cammed motor, then go with a Kenne Bell when I can afford it. What swap parts did you use? Motor mounts, tranny crossmember, headers, etc?

RaceProvenMotors out of California makes Pans, Custom N/A or Turbo Headers and Mounts for the motor.

If you intend to drag, road race, and motorcross... why would you get rid of the dry sump?

Fitting the pan and system on the truck would have been a whole ton of fab work as the front diff makes it tight. I also highly doubt even on its best day the truck will come close to pulling the G's of the Z06. I am putting a accusump on the truck and if I find I am getting that serious about road racing and getting fast times I most likly will just get a vette.

Default somre more progress

Made some more progress. It goes slow 2 hours a night after the kids go to bed but I am chipping away at it if I do not fall asleep after reading Berenstain Bears.. Headers are in, oil lines, power steering lines, engine wiring.
Tomarrow the tranny and tcase are going in. Then I will set up ride height, after that is set I will pull off the bed to start on the 4 link.
Here are some pics. I uploaded some more pics to the photobucket.

There are more pics at photobucket http://s266.photobucket.com/albums/i...ndy%20Syclone/

You will see my version of a light weight rad support on those pics as well.

HHHHMMMMMMM should I paint the rad black as well???

Nolan, glad to see things are getting going on this swap...unlike mine which is still at a standstill (as you can probably tell since you're still not tuning on mine ).

Looks like I'll probably be back up that way for a visit come late June (for the races), and will swing by the shop again to say hello... Keep up the awesome work on the Sy!

-Paul

P.S. Weren't there some parts I was wanting to buy off of you???
