Cooling fans in 1st gen
Doing a turbo 4.8 (for now, have a 6.0 waiting) with TH400 and 9" in my 67 bird. Getting closer by the day, but running into an issue with cooling. I picked up one of those Jegs "rip off" LS1 into 1st gen F-body radiators, I swear, it looks like every other piece of junk Chinese sold radiators on Ebay. Anyways, long story short... I don't have any cooling fans. The core measures 22" wide, 17" tall. Would a 3,000 rpm (just over 3,500 CFM) 16" fan work to keep this thing cool? What do you all think?

Hmmmm, I was seriously considering the ls1 style radiator and fan setup because it's got the shroud and everything. The fans are just so bulky I was concerned with the exhaust under them from the drivers side heading to the passenger side where the turbo will be placed.
Thanks for the advice guys.

Cheap chinese F-body radiator about $60 delivered and a set of stock F-body fans works great. If you go with a Crown Vic or really a Lincoln Mark VIII fan setup. Only problem with those is you need a 60 relay for those fans they will blow a 40 amp fuse every time.
