Day 1:

Got the motor, trans and old k-member out pretty quick thanx to my brother.

Got the AJE member and all the front suspension bolted back up and called it a early night.

Going to start cleaning up all the wires in side the engine bay tomorrow and get rid of anything Im not gunna need.

Should have the motor and trans in the car within the next day or so and then Ill move onto the fuel system then the turbo kit.

Day 2:

First thing I took care of was the steering rack and got that fixed.

I didnt get as much as I wanted done yesterday but I did get it cleaned up quite a bit today.

Cleaned the interior out a bit

Pulled the engine wiring harness and degreased the engine bay.

Before:

After:

Did I mention I HATE wires!
This lil bastard took 2 1/2 hours to pull through the firewall.

Tomorrow I'm going to pull the factory fuel system and install the new setup.

I plan on gearing it not to stand up that high but if it does get out of hand Ill throw some wheelie bars under for track visits.

Drops a quarter stick or similar shifter down into the trans tunnel, then it all goes back together stock appearing with the boot and etc. Bought one for my LX, kind of a neat part and ends up looking pretty stealthy.

Sorry for the retardedly huge pics.

Not really worried about how much it puts down just what it runs at the track but 600+ would be nice.

Thats a nice piece, I just pulled apart the B&M shifter that came with the car and bolted the new shifter to the plate that mounts to the floor.

PM me a link on where I can get that drop plate.

Thanx Tim

Good luck on the build, I'll be watching.

I've been contemplating buying this plate. I have a hurst quarter stick and havent been able to get a definite answer whether or not the lever will hit the dash or not with with holcomb plate. Can you help me on that?

Awesome car btw! I'm building an 87 notch with a single t70 5.3.

Yes, it will. You'll have to trim the tunnel a bit to get it exactly where you want it. Best way is to trim, set the console and radio/plate in and do so until you get it to where it'll mount without hitting. Remember to run it through park and all gears to see that it clears everything. Took some time, but mine clears everything fine.

Messed with the car for a lil bit today. Either I lost the bolts that are suppose to come with the AJE k-member or mine didnt come with them but I had to drive around town today and find the right bolts for the motor mounts and bellhousing.

Sorry for the crappy pics, I have no Idea what I did with my camera.

Tomorrow Im going to finish the fuel lines, clean up the trans and hopefully get the converter and trans all bolted up.

Here's a couple pics of my doorstops.
