Default wear items to upgrade?

I just purchased a ls1/t56 combo out of a 99 ws6. Its has 42k on it and I am wondering before i throw the engine in the car if there are many weak points of the engine/wear items that should be addressed such as timing chain...etc
The setup will be stock other than some mild street cams, longtubes and hp tuner--thanks

Upgrade the rods bolts, and if you're doing a cam swap go ahead and install the ls2 timing chain, new oil pump, ls7 lifters, this should make for a good piece of mind.

Oil pump is GP for any used engine

Rest is up to you, they have no inherent flaws that will fail on a mostly stock engine

ok, sounds good, since its just a mild cam i think just a oil pump and chain for now. Down the road i would like to build it up to close to the 500hp mark so i will need to upgrade everything then.

Id just do new plugs, all new fluids(tranny, motor, clutch etc). Then do an oil pump and chain when you do the cam swap.
