Hot off the dynojet presses.. Best pull of the day was 447rwhp (@6300) /413rwtq (@4500).

L92/VVT in C4 vette LS/T56 swap-run5.jpg

I have a ton of data to pour over, but I'm happy with it and almost
dead-on to my expectations.. I was so busy dialing in the WOT
fueling, that I'm kicking myself for not noticing the engine was so
lean down low and threw off my numbers below 3500rpms..

I need to get the car weighed too, but
it should be under 3000lbs with the Aluminum block and T56.

Car has new rims/rubber on it now, but I'm not sure if the weather is
gonna hold up long enough to get some 1/4-mile tests in before Winter..

Thanks.. Sadly I found another HPT table after leaving the dyno..

Fuel Cut Off vs ERT vs ECT

Was set to 6400rpms in every cell. Since I have to shut the engine off to
reflash, I was making a pull about 40sec after restart and guess this table
was cutting my fuel off at 6400rpm.. This table seems to go to 80sec, which
I guess is the limit you need to let the engine run to get out of it. I'm just going to set it all to 8000 for now though.. sigh.

Hey man your doing great dont worry about it. Remember they are never "done" we just finally say enoughs enough lol

Im so done with this last swap it was grueling. Got new projects backed up outside the door its time to get this thing back together ( my parts arrived and id be wrenching now if I wasnt so hungover ) but when I get this thing back together im going to dyno it out of curiosity and just drive it. Time for fresh builds, with fresh ideas and more importantly fresh speeeeeeed

But not to sidetrack that car looks saweet! Your going to catch so many people napping with that thing

Enjoy that beast, shes gonna fly

Planning on any track visits?

Awesome Mike! 450rwhp is just a few RPM away, but I'm more interested in what will happen down low when you get the A/F dialed in. The car looks GREAT. I didn't know it was that clean.

What's the next project after you get this dialed in?

Maybe 7000rpm? Not to bad. Like was said above I see over 450rwhp in your future.

The paint is really bad if you get within 10ft of the car. It really
needs a new paint job, just need to decide to keep it black or
move to another color.

The car has lots of little annoyances to deal with that will take most
of the Winter/Spring. I hope to start tracking (Road Course) it
next Summer and be able to drive it to the track, thrash on it all day,
then drive it home.

The Rims are House-of-Wheels C5 thin spoke replicas. A sponsor over
on Corvette Forums has good deals on them. They are 18x10.5 +56 all
around with Hankook 285/35R18 Evo V12 rubber.

Some final testing before I put the car away for the Winter.

I went to my local drag strip (Cecil County Dragway) and made some tuning runs today (Street tires, Stop light launches). I removed the Cold Engine rev limiter that bit me on the Dyno and was able to hit 7000rpms at the track, and verify that my fueling was good out that far..

Fasted ET of the day was the first run shifting at 6300

60' 2.207
330 5.529
1/8 8.177 @ 92.64mph
1000 10.383
1/4 12.238 @ 119.69

Fastest MPH of the day was just slightly better, shifting at 6500

60' 2.285
330 5.680
1/8 8.365 @ 93.81mph
1000 10.617
1/4 12.500 @ 120.42

On the way home, I stopped into a truck stop by my house and
rolled up on the CAT scales (I was not in the car):

Front 1700 lbs
Rear 1640 lbs
Total 3340 lbs

So my race weight was about 3550 lbs, alot more than I was figuring on with this LS swap.. According to Edmunds, the '92 base coupe was rated at 3223 lbs. I figured the aluminum LS block and T56, I should have lost about 150 lbs, not gained 100 lbs. Oh well, now I know.

Some videos:

MPH is good. Very close to mine we are within 1mph of each other my best was 119 iirc. Your 60's are as bad if not worse than mine though Get some bite in her and mid 11's will be cake. Drop some weight and you'll go deep 11's maybe.

Sounds killer though

Thanks.. It's not a drag car, I'm just using the track for tuning up to the rev limiter without landing in jail or the costs of a dyno session . Start putting slicks on and doing clutch dumps and the stock IRS will start being a weak link. Chassis is setup for AutoX/Road Course, which I plan on doing next year.

Well enough. . Headers are off and boxed up to go to the ceramic coating
(Swain). Fixed ABS system, put stock steering wheel back on to clear Infl
Rest error, and installed a kenwood head unit. (easier said than done on the vette). I have the Dakota Digital speedo converter sitting ready to install.

Nothing exciting, just keeping busy during the cold Winter shutdown. (Garage
Has been 40deg for the past 2weeks)

Too bad about these damn GenIV ECM/TCM systems. With the older 24x stuff you would be able to get your stock speedo working with PCM tweaks.

My car is still in pieces, once the weather turned I dropped the wrenches and moved onto other pressing issues. So many projects piled up now... But one good day and I'll have it fired back up.

Where are you planning to run that thing mike? I know its a road course focused build so just curious

Possibly, the C4 ECM/CCM one-off setup just loads the electronic
signals so much that the speedo isn't consistent. It works now
(VSS -> LT1 PCM -> (Both) CCM & E38) but neither will read past
about 60mph. When I was feeding the CCM directly from 4K ppm
signal of the E38 it wouldn't read past 10mph. Connecting either
without the other would work fine, so I'm using the SGI5 as a signal
buffer.

The vette is road course focused. ("Local" tracks of Pocono Nascar
track in Pennsylvania and Thunderbolt/NJMP in southern New Jersey)

I plan on eventually converting my '85 Camaro (427sbc/T56) back
to a drag car. Swapping back to Auto, gear change, and some form
of power-adder.
