Nice job.
Now that you have had this together for awhile how is that hybrid tranny holding up?

Shifts like butter. The VVT, LS7 clutch, and triple/double cone trans is so smooth it has me teaching the wife and kids to drive a stick car with 450rwhp..

I joined the ranks of those that are just driving/enjoying their swaps now. Just put 800mi on it this past weekend, visiting friends and hitting a "Cars & Coffee" show down in Cary, NC. I managed 22mpg on the trip down, averaging 80mph . I slowed down for half of the return trip and managed a decent 26mpg averaging 60mph. Not bad for an emissions friendly 450rwhp that will accelerate in 6th gear. Loving the VVT..

If nothing else, the trip moved up the AC install on the todo list, getting stuck in Washington DC rush hour traffic jam for 2hrs.

Only patch list jobs I've knocked off lately have been repairing the horn, and wiring up the T56 Reverse Lockout solenoid to the brake and clutch pedal cruise control switches. Plan on some tuning tweaks this Summer and finally tackle the digital Dakota box..

Good news all around. Your car looks great. I hope I can get 25+mpg on the highway.

No cruise control. It's not impossible, but not a high return-on-investment for my usage.

Nice build man! Is it still running strong? I modified a set of Kooks C5 Vette 1 7/8 longtube headers for my swap and this is what I ended up doing for the dash/cluster lol... Of course I started my project in 2005 and it still isn't finished.

Hi,
Cool project!
Was curious about your LS3 corvette oil pan. Did you have it machined for the pressure relief valve normally used with VVT applications?
I have an L92 with a stock pan (from escalade) which hangs too low for my taste and want to swap pans, but wondering if I need a pan from a VVT application.

Looking for a definitive answer about the need to swap over the pressure relief valve.

thanks a bunch,

Doug

I was wondering this also . I have a vvt motor with the holley pan, no valve. I was told it was only for afm.
