Still waiting on my wifes w2 to show up so we can finish our taxes and get some more funds... But on a side note.

I'm still waiting on my heads
I bought a power steering pump and lines
Trying to buy another firebird for parts
And my bottomend is completely done and sealed up waiting on heads

MERV: it was mentioned to me that I need a coolant crossover????

I wish you would at least consider building a 12 bolt like I did before putting money in the 8.8. Wish I had it in the car already. I can give you full details and have some pics I could email. It might not end up cheaper, but I think it will be a lot less work for you and still alot less than buying an aftermarket rear.

They are all high around here too.....except the 65-70 Impala rears....which happen to be the right width for our cars. About 65" flange to flange.

Just bought the starter and motor mounts for the project, and still waiting on my heads to get done, as well as return the 227 head gaskets I bought for the 046 gaskets.

You keep making good progress. I tend to avoid / put-off all wiring work like it's the plague. I think if I had time to stay on it uninterrupted that I would be alright, but it's not something I could do a little at a time.

I'm wanting mine to look invisible, And as completely hidden as possible. I just wish there were more hours in a day that I can work on the car and stay motivated. So I do a little bit at a time when I can.

Verz where's your build thread?

Update, hope to pick up my heads next week (if he has them done)
Ordering today valve springs and new head gaskets for a 6.2 instead of the 6.0

Nothing on my engine is polished but the pro products throttle body is 30 cheaper to get polished over satin... Need advice guys.

Why did you go for the 6.2 gaskets over the 6.0 ones? Just curious.

I have a ls3 short block with only 15,000 miles on it out of a vette. I will see it cheap. It looks brand new.

Read of people have issues with the 6.0 head gaskets with the ls3 heads on a 6.0 plus they are a small bit cheaper. But the $10 shipping back the 6.0 gaskets made them slightly higher.
