went shopping tonight, slp intake kit, 317 heads offset rocker and stands set cam bearings 8 coils 2 brackets and valve covers and even more knowledge!!!! anyone wanna buy some 317 heads?
Man, you are giving away your t56!! Complete like you're selling it with the clutch and all, I usually see them going for at least $1200. Don't forget alot of 3rd gen guys and people with older sbc/bbc engines want them for conversions. Maybe you are just pricing it low for a quick sell. It may benefit you more to see if someone local wants it for an A4 to M6 swap where you could possibly get their transmission and convertor. If so ya'll could possibly swap radiators and you could get the cooler lines too? Along with the shifters and consoles you could swap. T56 bring more than A4's so you should be able to either get a nice stall in the deal or their 4L60E plus some cash. Even if you don't you'd still be money ahead of selling yours for $800. Also don't forget you could easily use an LT1 A4 as long as you grabbed a 6.0 truck flexplate, spacer, and the longer bolts.

Hold up before you wait on a back order and let me do some checking for you. There are several different L92 / LS3 style head part numbers made. Is there a particular application you are looking for? I'm sure some would be available. From what I understand, they all flow about the same thing and are pretty much the same casting. I can check availability in seconds here at work. Both direct from GM & from other dealer's stock.
I can't come up with that number at all--Not by doing a casting number conversion or as a GM part number (even checked discontinued numbers).
What I did come up with as current numbers are:
12629063 - LS3 / L99 Assembly
12629064 - L92 / L76 / LY6 Assembly
12629051 - LS3 / L99 / L76 / LY6 / L92 Bare Head
I was shocked to see the LS3 head assembly (with it's lightweight valves and better springs) being cheaper at the moment that the L92 assembly by a good margin. They are currently cheaper than the bare head also.
Stock is readily available for the LS3 or L92 Assemblies. The bare heads are available, but farther up the chain right now. (From the parts plant directly.) I don't see who would buy bare heads for more than the LS3 assembly costs anyway??
Guess I'm bragging, but I bought my pair new, bare with valves only for $450 shipped off Ebay a couple years ago. Suits me 'cause I will use new springs anyway.
