Yes I know this is from about 5 years ago. I haven't been in this thread in a LOONGGG time... just going through it and putting it up to the top.

I am currently doing my 96 T56 and might be making a post soon once I determine exactly what is going on and can ask better questions. 96 C220 connector layout is different and I’m not finding too much on it. Checking for CPP, Ignition 3, and Neutral safety at the moment. I also might have the tach wrong with the 93-95 Pinouts compared to 96.

Edit 3-21-2023: Tach is correct as listed, Ignition 3 and B/U lights connected.

I put this together with added notes a long time ago, spot on. C230 H & J are the Brown and Lt. Green if the car is a Manual.

Thanks merv, I’m now down to this last one:

- Blue PCM Pin 32 Gray CPP, C220 Pin B (LS)

Then making everything final at the fender and I’ll be set.

EDIT: possibly found gray clutch anticipate on C230 A (LT dash side) Which is the 5 volt reference on the LS C230 pin A engine side.

C230A, as per my diagram, is basically a light on the dash that says Sport Mode. I've never wired the Clutch Anticipation Circuit or switch and have never had any issues.

This is where I found it, I’ll trace it out soon and report back with my findings. I’d like if it was hooked up but understand that it will work without as well. If this is the case then I’ll be wondering about the 5 volt next. Hopefully this all works and will be a good contribution to the thread.

Per that link, it says that is for a V6 car..

1996-1997
Cavity Wire Color Description
A Grey (Manual) Clutch anticipate signal
(V6 VIN S only-1996, VIN K only-1997)

This one is in my dash harness at the pedal but not hooked up and indeed runs to C230 Pin A when ohmed out. There are 2 and 4 wire clutch switches, mine is equipped with the two pin. I’m going to install a 4 pin and route through A on both C230 connectors to LS PCM Blue connector pin 32 CPP for correct operation. I know people say it can get dismissed and I understand that but I also found info regarding drivability issues so I’m hooking it up anyways. I hope this helps anyone looking to complete this circuit on a 96.

@the_merv Any ideas on this one? I put blue LS PCM connector pin 58 green to C230 pin C (LT dash). However purple serial data on K at 230 on LT side is there as well, this is a little confusing and also found this in my search.

Edit: Moved pin 58 green to pin K purple at C230 dash side = pin 2 at OBD 2 diagnostic plug

I don't know why I ever posted a pic of that paper up above I annotated over the last 17 years that clearly states some of this stuff you are finding in your "searches"...

Thanks for the help, everything is wired up and I’m hoping to get it started soon.
