LTX --> LSX Conversion Sticky
$50 ls1 ecm
$375 engine harness
free ls1 heads rockers and valve covers
$30 john deere primer and blitz black enamel to paint the engine bay
plus $25 for 200 pounds of extra fine coal slag to sand blast the engine bayjegs sells the ls1 oil pan for $160 so thats where im going for it...
I just want something reliable that makes around 350 HP that doesnt cost 5 grand.
I figure with a LS intake, headers, cam, and tune I should be close to my goal.

LS1 - $1500
LS2 - $2000
L92 - $2800
LQ4/9 - $900
5.3 - $500
4.8 - $800
These are rounded prices from a local yard, none come with wiring as they cut the harness to pull the motors and leave the computers where they are. I'd have no problem running a 5.3 over an LS1 or LT1, as you can get around the same power.
These are the main components of the swap:
2000 LS1 Harness an PCM.
Engine built by GOLEN engine service 650 HP version.
KOOKS 1 7/8 SS LS1 headers
Bolted up to my 94 built 4L60E tranny (Non PWM TCC)
Using advance adapters KIT No 712500A
BMR LS1 Kmember - OEM 200 LS1 Engine Mounts
Corvette Fuel pressure regulator- mounted in stock position
2000 LS1 Power steering rack and shaft
LS1 heater lines.
Car is running now. Working on the tune right now.

I might attempt to try this myself.

It started as a 1999 F-body Harness, I got rid of the junk, added what I needed to, and made it fit my Engine.
