No, the packaging is too spread out to fit in the car. You need a car intake and accessories.

alright thanks for the info. Do you think the intake would fit under a cowl or ram air hood?

I'd still go for a car intake though.

Will a rack from another vehicle fit, or a cheap manual one? I'll probably just get one from an ls1, but figured I'd see if there were any other options.

Has anyone done a smog legal swap? Or figured out how to wire in the Air pump since it's in the headlight harness?

Tach INFO

I just swapped a 2000 LS1 into a 1997 WS6 and the tach was not working correctly, it was reading close at idle but nothing above that.

I had to change the "High" and "Low" Tach Resolution settings in the tune from the stock ls1 settings of "6" to the value of "3". HP tuners software

Hope this helps anyone else looking for this answer.

That is correct..the 99-02 Tach reads like a 4 cyl.

Analog..V8 is an 8-pulse, the V6 is a 6-pulse.

With HP Tuners you set the Tach Resolution to 3 cause with the 24X LS1 Cranks it triggers it every 3rd one..24/3 = 8..that's why it works with analog V8 gauges. I've gotten some V6 Gauges to work correctly by setting it to 4.

how much are you guys having to slot the trans crossmemeber? I did the ls1/4l60e swap into a 97 and im working on that trans crossmember now. It seems like there would be no meat left on the crossmember by the time i slot the holes enough

From what I understand you are supposed to use the LT1 transmission crossmember even though you are swapping to an LS1 transmission.
