Hey guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates. I have been pretty busy recently. I have made some progress on the car. I will try and make a post this weekend with some updates.

Here are some teasers

Thanks

Clayton

this inspired me to do my project about doing almost the same swap but instead of the 5.7 ls im thinking about going all 5.3 maybe 4.8 on my build the transmission would probably be a 4l80e but im still in the blue print phase of mine keep up the great work

What's this? Progress?

I picked these up also. Oops.

I also accidentally built this for the BMW. It's a 4.4L M62 with 11:1 compression. Should be rowdy.

How much do you want for it? Doesn't seem like that much is left?

I love engine swaps, i did a similar swap with my 1987 260E and wanted to give you a heads up about the steering.

The design you have will get the car down the road and will be fine BUT,
you will have a considerable loss of turning radius (1/3 of normal turning) and you will destroy front tires at a fast pace due to the front wheels turning at different angles, there is a science to steering geometry. i know first hand the characteristics your car will have when turning since i have a similar setup that i am working on redesigning. if you have any questions just ask.

I don't think that you are correct.I have designed the steering arm and selected the steering rack to maintain a very similar turning radius to the stock car. I have also taken into account bump steer, would should be almost nothing. So, I'm sure what you are referring to, but I'd love some more detailed insight.

Thanks

Ok well maybe you'll have better luck. how did you decide how far forward and inward of the spindle to mount the tie rod on the steering arm, how did you compensate for the caster angle.
i would love to see it work i have tried 6 different methods that have gotten better but what i found is that there is not that much room in front to rout and operate that much throw which is why i am going to a w210 rear steering rack and changing my motor to a front sump oil pan, it allows for the factory steering arms and the coupling to the steering column is much shorter and simpler.

could you throw up some pictures of the steering rack mounted on the car?

Are you still selling the car, if so, what is left on the vehicle, and what is your asking price?

Default Reproducing your Engine LS1 and T56 gearbox mounts and headers for the Mercedes W201

Hi
Im planning an LS conversion in my RHD (Australia) 190e merc and have some questions for you.

From what I can see you do not cut into the car at all.with these mounts you have designed and I need the same from you delivered to me Sydney Australia if at all possible.
Can you reproduce these engine and gearbox mounts for me and how much?
I also need the headers if you could reproduce.
Did you ever work out the steering rack set up and any words of advise???
