Default NAPA green brake lines

Has anyone tried using the easy to bend NAPA green brake lines as fuel lines? Also.......... do they resist corrosion fairly well?

thanks,
Jim

The lines I get at Orielly's are coated green, but I haven't noticed them being any easier to bend than the old silver lines. Are they just a Napa part?Personally I liked the old lines better, for looks anyway.

See post 7. I'm not sure if post 4 refers to the same "green" line or not. From what I understand the green tint is just a coating that is supposed to prevent corrosion. Its easy to bend & flare, I'd give it a shot.

Easy to bend lines? Who fed u that story? The old uncoated lines and the "green" lines are all mild steel lines. I have never noticed any difference in bending or double flaring them.

I have used the coated lines for fuel, return and brakes on a project, and yes, they do seem easier to work with.As for rust,I can't tell you,not an issue with cars that are stored indoors around here.

I have always bought the green-coated brake lines at Advance. I think the brand is American Grease Stick. I have used them for fuel (3/8" OD) and they work fine.

They're also relatively easy to bend as long as you have a decent tubing bender.

Nicopp is decent, but I suggest the version that SURR makes. Its thicker and easier to bend without kinks. Both are very easy to cut and flare.

I used nickle copper line for both brakes and fuel. The stuff is a dream to work with. The stuff I got was expensive. At the time I got it the cheapest place to find it was England.

That link looks like a good price. Looks like they sell 3/8 and 1/2 inch line which would work for fuel and they have it cheaper than Jegs. Believe me, that stuff is massively easier to work with than just about anything else, and it is suppose to last forever.
