Actually yes...it slung the Belt yesterday..one of the guys mentioned to keep an eye on it and I was, but the belt got a little wore out and the Tensioner where it was at was barely holding tension so I'm working on fabricating a functioning Tensioner that will bolt in the factory Alternator location. I'll post pics when I get that done, I have all my parts.

Here is what I came up with..

Fabricated a Bracket to bolt in the factory Alternator location..

Tensioner shimmed and holding with no problems. I might bring it in just a hair...

I had to get a new idler pulley, that one in the pic was wasted. It was free from a guy I know..so I can't really complain. Now the belt lines up perfect..no noise or any slip.

Well here's an update..

That stock Shortblock gave up a few weeks ago..tore up a Cam Bearing, collapsed Lifter and some other problems.

I'm rebuilding it with a stock Cam, going back together for gas mileage and I bet it still goes 12.50 or better..

If I get a wild hair I might build up my LQ4/243 setup I have in my garage....

Sucks to hear about that, it looks like a fun little project. I lived in Cabot from 98-05 and there weren't hardly any car guys around that I could find!

There are quite a few of us in Cabot that play with our cars and have fun.

Here's the latest..

Got the Block and Balanced Rotating Assembly back from the Maching Shop friday..grabbed the beer and began construction...

Stock LS1 Rods, Kieth Black Pistons, Mahle Rings..

Assembled Shortblock with Stock Cam, LS2 Timing Chain, Ported LS6 Oil Pump..

Assembled Longblock with GM MLS Head Gaskets..

Trans bolted up..

Crammed it in the truck..

Accessories bolted up..

And it runs..

I'll finish putting the truck tomorrow and start driving it, adjust the tune for the stock Cam and see how it does..

I want power steering haha. Idk I've got a full machine shop and all the know how to fab something up but just never thought of puttin the alternator on the pass side. Did you have any issues with the power steering pump hooking up to the s10?
