Even though pictures wouldn't show any visual progress, I got a lot finished over the weekend....Got the Spal fan controller installed and programmed (Thanks Chad).....I had a couple of nagging electrical issues that had me pulling my hair out....one was I couldn't get the headlights to work.....I had power to the parking lights and turn signals but nothing to the headlights (new forward light harness).......Ended up being a loose connector in the headlight plug......so simple yet so difficult to find........(Big Smile)......I also had some issues with the Dakota Digital Tail lights.....the passenger side turn signals and brake lights didn't work.....even though I tested everything while installing them and they worked fine....I spent a lot of time cleaning contacts and still no luck.....got out the circuit tester and found that as I was cleaning up the harness and trimming off the old bulb connectors .......I trimmed off a wire that fed the Turn and brake lights....simple fix.....Duhhhhh!!!......
I also got the transmission gear selector module programmed and working to show what gear the trans was in on the dash display....pretty cool......I also will be putting the dash back in today or tomorrow and after getting the wires all neatened up under the dash, I got the radio speakers all wired up and ready to go.....Exhaust and Front end alignment this week....

Got the wood wheel installed today (64 center cap)......I also got the carpeting trimmed and got the rear panels and rear seat installed.......I then went and got my Shiney New reproduction window cranks out and tried to install them......Sheesh!!.....when I did the other car 4 years ago they didn't work..........you would think by this time they would figure out how to make them snap on like a stock GM one does.....LOL.....I guess I gave these these guy's too much credit.........Luckily I had a spare GM set in good condition....got them out and they snapped right on.......Gonna be a big box of repro Junk going back for "Credit"....Almost forgot.....the dual cone rear seat speaker I bought to fit in the rear seat (Special order)..........doesn't have a chance in hell of fitting either.....

How are you planning on getting around the steering stuff on that rear steer thing?

FYI the GMPP pan clears the steering as well. Mine is a 65 but the 65 and 66 are the same frame/steering etc.

Got the front seat installed and pretty much all the wiring taken care of......I just have to run a few wires for the Satelite Radio......another problem with this Nu Yawk Survivor car popped up last week (when does it end)......I couldn't get the windshield wipers to work.....ended up the wiper motor was shot....Imagine that!!......so after looking and seeing what a new original type motor cost, I decided to go with a Newport Engineering aftermarket wiper setup....2 speed w/intermittent feature.....took all of 30 minutes to install......and it works beautiful.......Time to start putting the doors and sheetmetal on........

The front seats have new foam buns in them....very comfortable....

Getting "Real" close.........Almost got all the Nu Yawk out of this beauty........and....I found an old original style "Nickey" sticker......Hummm!!!!

Took the car to Daves Mufflers in Kenosha and a very talented guy by the name of Mike created the entire exhaust system .....I was concerned about going over the rear axle assy as the car is lowered and there really wasn't a lot of room.....Mike nailed it.......Great job!!

We put on Flowmaster Delta 50's.........Perfect sound...

Got it home and finished up the drivers side door glass install.....gonna do the Passenger side tomorrow morning....then off to get the front end aligned tomorrow afternoon....

Things are moving right along........The new wiper system didn't have a washer pump system with it.....so I bought one of their add on pumps and mounted it where no one will see it after the fender is installed........small, simple and it works perfect......

I also got the interior pretty much finished up .......Now I just have to install the front Sheetmetal and finish up the convertible top weather stripping.........

Got back from the Frame-up car show and after talking with Dan Vasic and Mark Webster, I came home before the rains came (LOL) and found the clips I needed for the front fender Trim...So....I spent the afternoon in the garage ....got the trim installed, got the inner fender panels in, got the wheel opening moulding installed and took it out for a ride......No Squeeks or Rattles......Just need to get the grill and balance of front end parts........After going for a ride I realized that the Fan Controller is not working correctly......Gonna have to call Spal and get that figured out.....Here are some pic's from today...
