Thank you for the kind words, and it's always great to see another Caprice enthusiast on the LS boards!

Thank you greatly. I am hoping to have it dyno'd this week sometime and then to hit the track if all goes well.

Son of a bitch I knew getting an EPS cam spec reccomendation from Pat G was gonna be a bad idea. After seeing this thread I don't think I have a choice but to replace my TR224 for a custom cam

Thank you greatly!

I blew out the rear end on the 2nd pass, but if money/time allow it I plan to be at the track before it closes this season for my 11 sec pass.

P.S. Her name is Christine due to the movie, so you were on the right track.

I have to say, I was kind of disappointed when it only dyno'd 388rwhp, but the tuner said that my large stall (4500) and TH400 were eating up a lot of power so to not be discouraged.

The throttle response is ridiculously fast, and it pulls hard from idle to 7000, and even though I only got one pass in before my rear end blew out, I definitely have to say I was more then pleased with the results of my EPS Cam-Only set up.

great ride!! I am doing a lq4 swap into a 78 impala also. were you able to use the truck intake and fead? if so that would be great then i can get my swap done sooner than I thought. I have talke to geoff about my cam already as well. I will be doing a l76 intake and l92 heads with 823 castings. I have removed the harness and looking to send it to one of the companys that modify it for the swap. I'm happy to see that im not the only one that s doing the swap into this body style car!! Was the rear end that you broke stock? What rear end/gears are you going with?

Thank you, it's always great to see other Caprice/Impala fans. You can use the truck intake and a Corvette style Fuel filter for the Fuel line feed, but I went with the car style intake to make it fit under the hood better and because it looks "cleaner".

Geoff and PatG are both great guys to talk to, and I was more then pleased with the driveability and 1/4 mile performance of his cam recommendation.

My rear end was a 3:73 GM 10 bolt (I think 8.5") with an Auburn Posi. It lasted just fine behind the stock LS1/TH350 I had in the car previously but I guess the extra grunt of the new set up was just too much for it.

Not sure what I am going to replace it with since I won't have the kind of money needed to put a 12 bolt or a Ford 9" behind it like it probably deserves.

It's been several years since I bought them, but they were the cheapest LS1 TransAm headers I could find on Summit Racing, I think they might be these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HED-68534/
